When I saw the starting lineup for the LA Galaxy I fixated on the fact that both Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle were named in the starting eleven. I figured LA came to play and we would see another MLS win on the night. Wow, was I wrong! What I didn’t even consider was the was the defense for LA, they’ve been so solid all year that I didn’t give it another thought. I guess missing Omar Gonzalez and Donovan Ricketts is that big a deal for them. Embarrassing result for the Galaxy and the league to say the least.
Jonathan De Guzman, the Younger brother of Toronto FC’s Julian De Guzman, has signed a 3 year contract with RCD Mallorca on a free transfer from Feyenoord in Holland. The 22 year old was born in Canada but obtained Dutch citizenship in 2008 and has pledged to play his international football for the Netherlands. The New York Post is reporting that Barcelona has allowed Rafael Marquez to leave for free, but only if he moves to the Red Bulls.
“The one midfielder we are getting you know about,” GM Erik Soler told the Post.
